Healthy relationships are built on trust, communication, and mutual understanding. At Butterfly Counseling Services, we recognize that every couple has a unique story, strengths, and challenges. Whether you are working through communication difficulties, rebuilding trust, navigating life transitions, resolving conflict, or strengthening your emotional connection, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where both partners feel heard and respected.
Assessment results are only one part of our comprehensive evaluation process. We combine these findings with clinical interviews, each partner’s perspectives, relationship history, strengths, and shared goals to create a customized treatment plan. Our approach emphasizes open communication, mutual respect, emotional safety, and practical strategies that help couples strengthen their connection and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Each partner completes the PHQ-9, a clinically validated screening tool used to assess symptoms of depression. Depression can significantly affect communication, emotional connection, intimacy, and relationship satisfaction. Understanding each partner’s emotional health allows us to provide more effective, individualized support throughout the counseling process.
Each partner also completes the GAD-7, a brief assessment used to identify symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety can influence communication, stress management, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution. The results help us better understand how anxiety may be impacting each individual and the relationship as a whole.
Couples complete a Relationship Satisfaction Measure to evaluate the overall health of their relationship. This assessment explores areas such as communication, trust, emotional intimacy, conflict resolution, shared values, commitment, and overall relationship satisfaction. The results help identify relationship strengths while highlighting opportunities for growth and healing.
